Carrie Joy Wins Colgate Country Showdown
Illinois State Final!

 

Nashville, Tennessee (September 23, 2009)– Surpassing the competition at the 28th Annual Colgate Country Showdown Illinois State Final, Carrie Joy proved worthy of the state title and $1,000. The Sandwich Fair showcased acts who had won a local contest sponsored by radio stations throughout the state, enabling each to perform at the state level competition of America’s largest country music talent search.

Carrie Joy, representing radio station WBBA in Pittsfield, triumphed at the state level event. This seasoned singer/songwriter has been a two time National Finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown. Her powerhouse vocals leave audiences wanting more.
In the state competition, she rocked the crowd with songs, "I Know You Won’t" and original "Every Journey."
